Dana McNairn holds a political science degree with distinction from the University of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada) and a postgraduate certificate in international humanitarian psychosocial consulting from the University of East London. She is currently wrapping up an MBA with the University of Southern Queensland (Australia) specializing in sustainable development economics. Her professional background is in journalism, communications and development, and her work has taken her to Southeast Asia and West Africa. For the last decade she has worked for NGOs in human rights and gender-based violence, as well as INGOs such as the Canadian Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity Vietnam. Dana joined KOTO in 2013 as Director, Partnership Engagement and Strategy, and was appointed CEO in 2015. She is based in Ho Chi Minh City. KOTO, started in 1999, is an award-winning nonprofit social enterprise and vocational training program for at-risk and disadvantaged youth. To date, nearly 600 youth have graduated from the program.
